Introducing Young Entrepreneurs Program / Camp (Summer) 2016

This is an absolutely fun camp for the business mined kids. Designed to introduce business to children and teens in a fun manner.

Children will practically learn to manufacture and sell products and services to end users
we teach them small business skills and practically make them earn some money which the children will enjoy

An outline of Activities that will happen during the Young entrepreneurs summer camp

Manufacturing
Campers we will get creative and manufacture products using waste stuff like plastic bottles, news papers etc and manufacture stuff like bird feeders, Greeting cards, Bird houses, Paper baskets, bracelets etc.

Farming

Children will be introduced to farming. They will be given a piece of land on which they cultivate quick to Grow  crops  like coriander tomatoes corn carrots papaya etc , and experience how farming is a good method to make money.

Hands on Cooking

Children and teens will Make Chocolates, ice creams, squashes, pickles, sandwiches etc which they will sell to end customers on the last day.

Buying and Selling

Children will be taken to places where local places where products like honey , tribal jewellery , Bamboo products, Tea are manufactured in the surrounding areas they will learn to bargain and make a best deal with the manufacturers and sell these products on profit to the tourists.

Lending services
Children will be thought to lend services like tattooing, face painting, fish spa, Tyre swing etc   This will get an idea on how children can offer services to make their own money

Theory Section of this camp will include the following topics

• Profit and loss,
• Fixing product prices,
• Sourcing goods for business,
• Branding,
• Basic marketing methods,
• How to save and invest etc etc

All this in a simple fun manner so that it is easy for children and teens to understand

On the last two days of the camp each child will put up his or her own stalls with creative branding, own logo, business name boards and sell his/her products and services directly to  tourist on the way to Ooty. Children will carry out their own business with people who will visit their stalls under the close guidance of our volunteers. This is going to be real fun summer camp activity and all children and teens are sure to enjoy

Along with learning business they will also enjoy fun activities like Kayaking, Stream fishing, Jungle safari, team building games, Etc
